What is Ca-Akg?

Ca-AKG is the abbreviation of Calcium Alpha-Ketoglutarate (C5H4CaO5-H2O). It is a special form mineral calcium that can be used to bring the calcium concentration in the blood back to a normal level. Calcium alpha-ketoglutarate binds excess phosphate and disposes it as waste, restoring the normal balance of calcium and phosphate in the body.

Ca-AKG has been proven to increase lifespan and health span (healthy age-ing without symptoms).

AKG is a key metabolite in the KREBS (energy) cycle and plays a role in metabolism, stem cell growth, collagen synthesis and epigenetic regulation. As with many other important health traits, AKG levels decline with age. It has been proven that your AKG levels at 80 are only 10% of when you were 40! AKG cannot be increased through your diet.
